RTOP Opens Fiddler on the Roof

Event Description This April, experience the classic Broadway musical, Fiddler on the Roof, as the Regional Theatre of the Palouse (RTOP) brings the story, originally based on Tevye and His Daughters, to the Palouse April 5 to 15. Conveyed through exciting musical numbers and moving dialogue, Fiddler on the Roof portrays Tevye, a poor milkman, and his struggle of upholding his beloved traditions among his five daughters in a changing world. As the characters overcome obstacles in their journey for happiness, audience members will be touched by the humor, warmth and honesty showcased throughout Fiddler on the Roof. Winner of nine Tony Awards, Fiddler on the Roof has captivated audiences with its message of family and traditions since its original Broadway debut in 1964. The first Broadway musical to reach 3,000 performances, Fiddler on the Roof shares important messages as it cuts across barriers of race, class and religion. With iconic and beloved musical pieces such as “Sunrise, Sunset”, “If I Were a Rich Man” and “Matchmaker, Matchmaker”, Fiddler on the Roof is Pullman’s must-see event this April!
